About Us

Who We Are

The Caché Dance Project is an open dance movement that empowers women from all walks of life through the healing power of Dance. Our teaching principles are primarily based on the science of the body-mind connection and the power of honing a positive mindset. We implement professional dance techniques and exquisite dance styling focused on soul expression, body flow, musicality, and energy in motion---a.k.a, 'emotion.'

This extraordinary program merges transformative practices, empowering countless individuals to not just craft a more fulfilling existence, but also effortlessly navigate the labyrinth of self-doubt and emotional turbulence by embracing the captivating language of dance. Within our dance practices, participants unlock the profound connection between mind and body, embarking on a remarkable journey where their very essence surrenders to the resounding melodies that envelop them.

Our vibrant community warmly welcomes individuals of all ages, body types, and dancing abilities, celebrating the diversity that each participant brings. Grant yourself the ultimate gift of liberation as you unshackle your inhibitions and embrace the dance floor like never before.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to empower women through dance and provide them with valuable tools that can help them identify any mind barriers and dismantle any negative self-beliefs that may be interfering with their dance---hence, life. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for women where they can freely practice self-expression, find personal balance, build confidence and thus, enhance their lives through this inspiring and liberating dance program.

We Are More Than a Dance Company

Through our supportive and encouraging environment, women can connect with each other on a deeper level and gain the tools and resources they need to heal, grow, and transform. Our support group is a place where women can come together, be themselves, and use the power of dance to unlock their full potential.

The Cache Dance Project

About Our Founder

Paloma Greer's tale is one that resonates with inspiration and wonder. As the pioneering mind behind The Caché Dance Project, her legacy captures the essence of unbridled passion and relentless determination.

Growing up within the strict confines of a deeply religious environment that often regarded worldly dance with prejudice, Paloma was a world away from the luminous stages she would eventually dominate. Yet, a fervent passion for dance burned deep within her. Despite the challenges, she couldn't resist this inner calling and, in pursuing it, discovered her life's true purpose. It was during this pivotal moment that she discovered her profound love for dance and embraced it wholeheartedly, forever altering the course of her life.

In a twist of fate, 2016 presented Paloma with an unexpected and devastating life-changing episode that left her grappling with homelessness, depression, and chronic anxiety. In the face of these immense challenges, she found solace and strength in her solitude, surrendering herself to a cathartic and self-empowering process rooted in the transformative potential of dance movement. Through this deeply personal journey of self-discovery, Paloma discovered how dance could serve as a catalyst for emotional healing and personal reclamation. Today, she stands as an emblem of resilience, using her experiences to empower other women to find healing and self-expression through dance. Her story serves as a powerful reminder of dance's transformative potential.

Furthermore, Paloma's contributions to the dance scene are notable. She has performed at some of Chicago's largest and most-recognized salsa venues, has taught at the world-class Chicago International Salsa Congress, and, at 45, Paloma starred as the principal dancer for Grammy-nominated salsa artist, Charlie Cruz.

Today, Paloma's influence extends beyond technical skill, epitomizing the true spirit of dance – a medium of healing, transformation, and self-realization. Through her journey, she continues to inspire others to embrace the art and find their own path to healing, growth and self-fulfillment.
